Welcome to this online-only global event.
As part of the Extended Programme “Towards MONDIACULT 2025” hosted by the University of Leeds in the framework of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, join us for this presentation and enlightening discussion about a new theory for understanding the values of culture through a holistic and inclusive framework. This research workshop aims to explore the diverse aspects of global cultural activities and how they shape societies. You will be invited to analyse your own experience of cultural activities using a draft framework of 8 domains of the values of culture while learning about new tools for cultural policy and cultural management. The discussion will be recorded and used to guide the theory's development.
Don't miss this opportunity to engage with international experts in the field and gain valuable insights into the value of global cultural activities.
Presenter

This research workshop will be presented by Dr Hughie Brown, who is the author of the Unified Theory of the Value of Culture and leader of this research project.

This research workshop will feature a brief presentation of the Unified Theory, focusing on the 8-domains framework for the values of culture, followed by a discussion of how/whether it fits your experience of cultural activities. As part of the Extended Programme “Towards MONDIACULT 2025”, the workshop will run punctually to time and the outcomes will be reported back to MONDIACULT organisers.
